B&G triton 2 autopilot controller. Doesn't turn on. I saw this burnt resistor on the main supply line, it gives 50k ohms, it should be 1 ohm... Ok, let's bypass it with a wire... But it still doesn't work?
I tracked the main supply line and would you belive it? There is diode missing in circled area. Small one, big pads for larger diode are just preparation that is not used in this instrument... Cold solder joint or it blew up when this resistor blowed up? Didn't find it inside the housing, it probabbly fell somewhere when I was dissasembling it... New resistor and new diode and it works. Still can't belive it was this simple
