Raymarine ST60 wind instrument. It doesn't show wind direction on the starboard side at all. Main microcontroller needed change. It is not an easy job for beginners. The area around it needs to be preheated on 150-180 degrees. Then I apply as quick as I can 380 degrees temperature on SMD soldering blower on the pins of MC, being carefull not to overheat the board or other components around it. After extraction, I remove the old solder on pins with solder wick, apply new solder on pads, center the new MC and quickly solder it back, this time paying even more attention not to overheat new MC... Cleaning the rest of the flux, and it is up and running again. It can go without preaheating, but sudden change of temperatures can cause microfractures in layers of PCB, especially on multi-layer boards.
